Grecotel Filoxenia Hotel

The grounds including the lobby, the restaurant and pool area were exceptionally well maintained. The room we ended up being upgraded to was truly one of the best places to stay. The fact that kids also eat free under 12 with a decently large spread was helpful for our toddler. Also, using the bus is super convenient and easy and cheap.

Marvelous location, directly on the beach, with not even a road in between. Architecture and layout of the buildings are very tasteful, it was a pleasure to roam around the beautiful garden and pools. Very friendly and helpful staff; my classic room booking was kindly upgraded to a suite. Box-spring beds. Not in the center of Kalamata, but still conveniently close. Free parking with ample spaces, with a guard at the gate.

This was simply my best experience with the hotel over 5 last trips to Greece. Filoxenia Kalamata is a great one with respect to everything. One one hand, it is large and comfortable one, with many facilities and inner courtyard with pools and sun-loungers and even a private beach where you can safely let your kids enjoy swimming and having fun outdoors. On the other hand, it looks like a cozy place and offer the vibes of a small friendly beach inn, as the buildings are only 4 floors high, and everything perfectly fits the environment. The personnel is super-friendly, the breakfast variety is impressive, and the quality of the food is high. The pebble beach accessible from the inner yard is also very good.

Great pool area, beach was very nice. Breakfast was great. I had the lunch buffet twice, it was good.

Very very nice hotel. Located perfectly ON THE BEACH, nice quite and relaxed, service is very polite and helpfull. Local bus (number 1) goes directly from hotel to the city center every 15-20 minnutes. We understad that hotel closes for 5-6 month from Nov 2024 for renovation.
